Overview
Kalkan is a small harbour town in Lycia on Turkey's Mediterranean coast with a population of 3926 in 2022. It has been well-developed for tourism but has avoided mass-market development, so it remains unspoiled.

B&B doubles range from 2000-5000 TL in peak season. Pansiyons near the marina are most central. Self-catering villas require transport to restaurants.
Activities
Beaches are narrow and shingle except at Patara and Kaputaş. Diving, boat trips, and Lycian Way hiking are popular activities.

Transport
Kalkan is on the D400 coastal highway connecting Marmaris/Fethiye to Antalya. Nearest airports are Dalaman (south) and Antalya (east). Car hire is recommended for exploring beyond the village.
