Overview

Kala Nera and its neighboring villages (Koropi, Ano Gatzea, Kato Gatzea) form a relaxed coastal cluster in Northwest Pelion, 18 km from Volos via the coastal road. The name translates to "good waters" because local underground springs fed from Mt Pelio reach the sea here, making the water cleaner and cooler than adjacent beaches.
