Overview
Kadavu is Fiji's fourth-largest island, offering an authentic, undeveloped South Pacific experience with 50 miles of the Great Astrolabe barrier reef surrounding it. The island has a population of 10,000 Fijians and remains largely untouched by mass tourism, with no surface roads crossing its interior.

Accommodation
All accommodation is resort-based with no standalone hotels or restaurants. Resorts typically include all meals. Traditional Fijian bures are the standard room type.
Activities
World-class diving on the Great Astrolabe Reef is the main draw, with additional activities including trekking, kayaking, whale watching, and bird watching for the endemic Kadavu musk parrot.
Connectivity
Internet access is limited and cell phone coverage is sparse. Do not rely on connectivity for important communications. Some resorts may have satellite internet.
Safety
Safety is resort-managed with guidelines aligned to the Responsible Tourism Code of Conduct. Vunisea has the island's only hospital and police station.
Transport
Kadavu has minimal road infrastructure; boat taxis, ferries, kayaking, and foot travel are the primary modes of getting around. Vunisea Airport (KVU) connects the island to Nadi and Suva via Fiji Link.
