Overview
Jecheon (제천) is an inland city in North Chungcheong Province, South Korea, offering a slower alternative to major tourist destinations. The city centers on Cheongpungho Lake, an inland sea surrounded by mountains, and Woraksan National Park, designated in 1984 with peaks reaching 1,097 m.

Continental climate with cold winters (down to -10°C) and warm summers (up to 29°C). Woraksan Mountain hiking is best April-October. Snow is common December-February.
