Itaituba is a city of about 101,000 people on the west bank of the Tapajós River in Pará, Brazil. It serves as the primary gateway and permit office for visiting the Amazônia National Park, located about 50 km to the west.

To visit Amazônia National Park, obtain permits from IBAMA office in Itaituba. The park is 50 km west of the city.
