Day trips to Chrysi island (15 km offshore) by boat, hiking gorges like Sarakinas (1.5 km) and Orino (5 km), or visiting the Thrypti mountain range.

Try local raki (grape spirit) with meze at tavernas and kafeneio. The old Kato Mera quarter has cafes, bars, and traditional restaurants.

Transport

No public transport exists. Rent a bike for the flat city centre or a car to explore surrounding gorges, beaches, and mountain villages.
