Fees
Day visitors pay US$20/person plus US$10/vehicle; children 6-12 pay half. Camping and picnic sites cost extra.
Safety
Dangerous wildlife poses real risk—people have been killed. Poaching incidents with armed criminals occur; avoid night travel in the park.
Supplies
Fuel and supplies are unreliable at the three main camps. Bring everything you need from outside the park.
Transport
Self-drive requires 4WD; the Elephant Express tourist train runs between Impofu and Ngamo sidings. Buses from Victoria Falls to Bulawayo stop at the park for US$25-50.
Weather
Best game viewing is during dry season (August-October). Rainy season (November-April) can make roads impassible.
