Overview
Hunedoara is a small Romanian industrial city that draws visitors almost exclusively for Hunyad Castle (Castelul Corvinilor), one of Europe\'s finest Gothic-Renaissance fortifications and legendary as the prison of Vlad III the Impaler for seven years. The castle has been beautifully restored and turned into a museum, making it a standout destination despite the city\'s modest size.
