Festivals
The Santo Entierro celebration is the main annual festival, featuring a mural commemorating the event. Semana Santa brings increased visitors.

Lakeside restaurants and grills like Carboncito Norteno serve local meat and seafood. Sunday brings extra food vendors to the zocalo.
Transport
Taxis depart from the sitio next to the zocalo. You'll need one to reach the waterfalls and lakes about 4km away. Bus station is on Libramiento México-Tuxpan.
