Overview
Hanzhong is a historically significant city in southern Shaanxi Province, nicknamed "Little Jiangnan of the Northwest" for its beautiful environment and mild climate. It was an important military and political center during the Western Han Dynasty and Three Kingdoms period, offering visitors a chance to explore sites connected to Zhuge Liang and the ancient Silk Road pioneer Zhang Qian.

Food

Transport
Hanzhong has a train station and high-speed station connecting to Xi'an (1.5 hours) and Chengdu. The Chenggu Airport offers flights to major cities. City buses and Didi taxis are available within the city.
Weather
Best visited in spring (April-May for flower blooms) or autumn. Summers are hot (up to 35°C) and rainy; winters can drop to -5°C.
