Overview
Gümüşhane is a small mountain town (population 39,000 in 2022) at 1153m elevation in Turkey's Eastern Karadeniz region. The main reason to visit is trekking in the surrounding mountains, particularly accessing the glacial tarns of Artabel Lakes Nature Park and the Zigana Pass area.
