Overview
Grado is a quiet commuter town of 9700 residents in Asturias, northern Spain, best known as a stopover point on Camino Primitivo—the original line of the pilgrimage trail to Santiago de Compostela. The 21 km first-day trek from Oviedo brings pilgrims to town via Loriana, Valsera, Premoño and Peñaflor.

ALSA buses run every 30 min from Oviedo (40 min journey). Cercanías C7 train from Oviedo every 2 hours (50 min). Nearest airport is Asturias OVD near Avilés.
