Overview
Gobichettipalayam (also called Gobi) is a serene town in Erode District, Tamil Nadu, located in the Kongu Nadu region bounded by the Western Ghats. The area is one of the leading producers of silk cocoon in India and is famous for plantain cultivation and coconut production.
