Overview
Gemlik is hemmed by mountains north and south, sitting on a plain at the head of the Gulf of Gemlik, an inlet of the Sea of Marmara. Travelers between Yalova and Bursa get unexpected glimpses of the sea, which inspired the poet Orhan Veli Kanık.
