Overview
Formosa is a historic city in Goias state, 115 km from Brasilia, best known for Salto do Itiquira, the tallest waterfall in Brazil's Central West region at 168 meters. The area holds archaeological significance with Paleo-Indian cave paintings and rock recordings dating back 4,500 years at Stone Lapa and the Archaeological Site of Bisnau.
