Ferizaj exists primarily as a transit junction on the Pristina-Skopje route. It's not a destination for sightseeing, but rather a convenient overnight stop if arriving late or departing early between Kosovo and North Macedonia.

Culture
Ferizaj's population is overwhelmingly Albanian. The Serbian name Uroševac is not used locally and may offend residents given historical tensions between Albanians and Serbs.

Kosovo uses the Euro (€). ATMs available in town near the stations. Credit cards accepted at hotels and larger restaurants.
Transport
Ferizaj sits on the main highway between Pristina and the Macedonian border. Both bus and train connect to Skopje (1.5 hours) and Pristina (40 min). Stations are on Ahmet Kaçiku St, about 250m apart.
