Overview
El Fuerte is a 13,000-person colonial town in Sinaloa, named a Pueblo Mágico in 2010 for its preserved architecture and small-town charm. The town calls itself the "home of Zorro" and offers a slower pace than coastal resorts, with the massive 1610 fort ruins dominating the central Plaza de Armas.
