History
Dobrich was renamed three times: Hacıoğlu Pazarcık (Ottoman), Bazargic (Romanian 1913-1940), Tolbuhin (Communist 1949-1990). The ТХ vehicle registration prefix reflects the communist-era name.

Bulgaria uses the Bulgarian lev (лв). ATMs are widely available. Most restaurants and hotels accept cards.
Transport
Central Train Station is 20 min walk from main square; Bus Station (Автогара) is 10 min walk east of Vazrazhdane Square.
