Transport
Diamantina is reached by bus from Belo Horizonte (297 km). No direct flights. Roads connect to major Brazilian cities but distances are substantial.
Weather
Best visited April-October during the dry season. The Vesperatas cultural events run during these months. Wet season (Nov-Mar) brings heat and rain.
