Overview
Dawei offers an off-the-beaten-path experience in southeastern Myanmar, combining colonial-era architecture with pristine Andaman Sea beaches on the Dawei Peninsula. The town has one of the highest concentrations of pre-1948 British buildings in the country, making it a rare window into colonial-era Myanmar outside Yangon.
