Overview
Daet is the provincial capital of Camarines Norte with a population of 112,000 people (2020). It is known for Bagasbas Beach, a popular surfing destination with consistent waves, and historic colonial-era churches built by Franciscan friars in 1611.

Local restaurants and carinderias offer affordable meals from ₱50-150. Beachfront restaurants along President Cory Aquino Boulevard tend to be slightly more expensive.

Transport
Daet Central Terminal is the main transportation hub with separate areas for jeepneys/multicabs and buses. Philtranco and DLTB operate long-distance bus services to Manila.
Weather
Daet has a tropical climate with wet season from June to September and dry season from March to May. The amihan surfing season runs October to February.
