Overview
Dačice is a small, quiet town in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands that draws visitors primarily for one claim to fame: the invention of the sugar cube here in 1841 by Jakob Christof Rad. The historic town centre is protected as an urban monument zone and features Baroque churches, a Renaissance town hall, and two castles.
