Overview
Cirque de Mafate is one of the world's most dramatic volcanic cirques, forming the western crater of the extinct Piton des Neiges volcano on Réunion. Unlike typical national parks, there are no roads—access is exclusively on foot or by helicopter, making it a pristine wilderness experience.
