Overview
Chiprovtsi is a small mountain town in North Bulgaria famous for its traditional hand-woven carpets and rugs, a craft that has been practiced here for centuries. It is also one of the few Roman Catholic enclaves in an otherwise mostly Eastern Orthodox country, giving the town a unique cultural identity.

Transport
Buses from Sofia depart at 18:00 (14 leva one-way). Local buses to/from Montana run multiple times daily (3.50 leva, 45 minutes).
