Overview
Chamba is a quiet hill town perched at 1,676m in the Ravi River valley, offering a slower pace than more commercialized Himachal destinations. The town is renowned for its Shikara-style temples dating to the 10th century, the lush Chowgan (central grass lawn), and a rich heritage tied to Raja Sahil Varman who shifted his capital here in 920 AD.
