Overview
Cetinje is the spiritual heart of Montenegro—a compact town of 19,000 that served as the historic capital for centuries. Founded in the 15th century by Ivan Crnojević, it was the last stronghold against Ottoman expansion, reduced at times to just Cetinje and its surroundings.
