Overview
Červená Lhota is a near-ghost village of about 30 permanent residents that punches far above its weight as a Czech tourist destination. The star attraction is the bright-red Renaissance château standing on a rock in the middle of a pond—extremely photogenic in any season.

No hotel; two guesthouses exist. Main restaurant has 9 rooms at 400 Kč/person/night but closes October–April. Stay in nearby towns for more options.

Food
Few village restaurants cater to tourists and are overpriced. Bring snacks—there is no food store. Local beer is widely available.
Money
Czech Koruna (CZK) is the local currency. Château admission: 100 Kč adults, 70 Kč students/pensioners. Paddle boats: 80 Kč per 30 min or 150 Kč per hour.
Transport
No train station; arrive by car or bicycle. The village is walkable. Czech Railways (ČD) and many hotels rent bikes for regional cycling.
Weather
Peak season is July–August. Château closed November–March. Spring and early autumn offer fewer crowds with good weather for outdoor activities.
