Overview
Capitólio is a small town of 8,600 people in Southern Minas Gerais, Brazil, nicknamed "Queen of the Lakes" for its dramatic position beside the Furnas reservoir. The main attraction is the Furnas Canyon, where towering stone walls rise from the emerald waters of Lake Furnas—often called the "Sea of Minas" for its sheer size of 1,440 km².
