Overview
Candolim is a beach village in North Goa situated just south of Calangute beach. It has been largely overrun by tourist shops, restaurants, and hotels along a beautiful stretch of coastline.

Multiple excellent restaurants catering to all budgets. Fresh seafood is abundant. Many establishments close during monsoon season.
Money
Indian Rupees (INR) are used throughout Candolim. ATMs are available along the main road. Cards are accepted at hotels and upscale restaurants but carry small surcharge.
Safety
Candolim is a tourist-safe area with police presence. Standard beach safety precautions apply. Avoid swimming at unguarded beaches.
Transport
Buses connect Candolim to Panaji and Calangute via Sinquerim. Auto-rickshaws are plentiful for short hops. Motorcycle rentals available for exploring North Goa independently.
Weather
Best visited November to February. Monsoon (June-Sept) sees heavy rain and many businesses close. Summer (March-May) is hot and humid.
