Overview
Bellagio sits on a lush promontory dividing Lake Como into three distinct arms, making it one of the most photographed viewpoints in Italy. The town gained fame when celebrities and aristocracy began passing through in the 19th century; some stores still display photos of famous visitors.

Hotel Fioroni offers 3-star lakeside rooms from around €100. The Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni is the only 5-star property, with doubles from €550.
Season
The Tourism Information Office operates March 15 to November 14 only. Many lakeside establishments, including the Riverside Snack Bar, close during winter.
Transport
Bellagio is accessible only by boat. Ferry tickets to Como or Lecco cost around €4.60/person plus €4/car for vehicles.
