Overview

Belgrade is the capital of Serbia, standing at the confluence of the Danube and Sava rivers. It has a population of 1.2 million and is a fascinating and friendly destination. The city's core is on a bluff overlooking the rivers, with Kalemegdan Fortress as the historic heart. It's relatively inexpensive and English is widely understood.
