Overview
Batan is a municipality of 32,000 people (2015) in Aklan province, Philippines. The town offers a quieter alternative to Boracay with access to Tinago Lake's 'hidden sea' spanning 8 km by 4 km, diving opportunities at Ob-Ob Hill's underwater caves, and historical sites including the Kalantiaw Shrine Marker.
