Overview
Baluran National Park offers one of Indonesia's most distinctive landscapes—a dry savannah that genuinely evokes East Africa, complete with grazing deer, wild oxen, and occasional elephant sightings. Of East Java's three major national parks, Baluran is the most accessible from Bali, making it a feasible stop for travelers heading between Bali and Java's east coast.
