Overview
Atlatlahucan is a small colonial town in the mountains of Morelos that draws travelers interested in historical and cultural sites. The main attraction is the Convento San Mateo Apóstol, a massive 16th-century Augustinian monastery built in 1570 that is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Buses from Mexico City's TAPO station to Atlatlahucan take 90 minutes to 2 hours and cost about M$150. Local transport within town is limited to walking and local buses.
