Overview
Ath is a French-speaking town of about 30,000 inhabitants in the centre of western Hainaut, situated mid-way between Brussels and Lille. Famous for the annual Ducasse festival, this typically Belgian small town features architecture from different eras, including a 16th-century Maison espagnole, 18th-century houses from French rule, and a 1919 Art Nouveau building called Le Palace.
