Overview
Anamur sits at Turkey's southernmost point on the Anatolian peninsula, meaning "windy cape." The main draw is Mamure Castle, a stout fortification built by Romans, Byzantines, Crusaders, Karamanids, and Ottomans. It's also a transit stop on the D400 coast highway between Antalya and Adana, convenient for travelers heading to Cyprus ferries from Taşucu.
