Overview
Almora is a hill station in Uttarakhand's Kumaon mountains where the Goddess Nanda Devi temple dominates the town center and Himalayan peaks are visible from nearby areas. Unlike Shimla, Ranikhet, and Nainital—developed by the British—Almora was entirely developed by Kumaoni Indians, giving it a distinctly local cultural flavor.
