Overview
Alcoutim is a tiny Portuguese border town of about 2,500 residents, sitting directly across the Guadiana River from Sanlúcar de Guadiana in Spain. It is one of only three landlocked municipalities in the Algarve, offering a stark contrast to the coastal resorts.
