Overview
Ahualulco is a quiet stopover north of San Luis Potosi city, best known for its colonial-era churches and two historic haciendas dating to the 16th century. The town is proud of its musical son Julian Carrillo, who theorized a "13th sound" beyond the standard 12 musical tones.
