Overview
Zunyi is a historic city in northern Guizhou famous as the site where Mao Zedong became a full member of the Politburo Standing Committee in 1935, changing the CCP's trajectory from urban insurrection to rural guerrilla warfare. The city draws large numbers of Chinese tourists to its Red History sites while remaining largely overlooked by foreigners.

Zunyi Xinzhou Airport has a special bus to the city center; Zunyi Railway Station is served by multiple bus routes. Local city buses cost around ¥2 per ride.
