Overview
Zottegem is a vibrant market town in the southeastern corner of East Flanders, considered one of the gateways to the hills of the Flemish Ardennes. The town is renowned for its historical ties to Lamoral, Count of Egmont, a 16th-century nobleman beheaded by the Spanish king, and for hosting sections of the famous springtime Flanders cycling classic races.
