Youghal (pronounced yawl) is a small harbour town at the east edge of County Cork preserving a remarkable medieval and early modern heritage. The walled town's narrow streets and historic buildings escaped the redevelopment that blighted many Irish towns, giving visitors an authentic glimpse into centuries of history.
