Overview
Yandangshan is a UNESCO Global Geopark and national forest park featuring dramatic mountain scenery, dramatic peaks, caves, temples, and multiple waterfalls. The main highlight is Dalongqiu (Big Dragon Pond) waterfall at 197m—one of China's highest—most spectacular in the first day or two after rain.

Yandang village has guesthouses and at least one hostel. Some guesthouses in outlying villages may not accept foreign visitors—confirm before booking.
Money
Cash is essential in the park area; bring sufficient RMB before arrival as ATMs may be limited. Restaurants and guesthouses in the village accept cash and increasingly mobile payment.
Transport
Yandangshan Station connects to the high-speed rail network; buses into town only run during daylight hours. Plan arrival times accordingly and consider staying overnight.
