Xuzhou (徐州) is a city of 2.6 million in Jiangsu Province, China, positioned at the northern tip of the province bordering Anhui. The city serves as a major rail hub halfway between Beijing and Shanghai on the Beijing-Shanghai railway line.

Xuzhou is a major railway hub halfway between Beijing and Shanghai on the Beijing-Shanghai line. Regular trains to Nanjing take about 3 hours. High-speed trains available from Xuzhou East station.

Hot, humid summers (June-August with 118-238mm rainfall) and cold winters (December-February, temperatures below freezing). May-September is the rainy season.
