Overview
Whyalla is a city of around 22,000 people on the northeastern Eyre Peninsula, developed around the OneSteel steelworks, port, and iron ore deposits in the early 20th century. Today it offers a modern regional Australian lifestyle with white sand beaches, warm gulf waters, and excellent fishing for snapper.
