Overview
Weißenkirchen in der Wachau is a picturesque wine town along the Danube, named after its striking fortified church that dominates the skyline. The town originated as a monastic vineyard in the 9th century and remains celebrated for its excellent wines, particularly Grüner Veltliner and Riesling.
