Overview
Weifang is the self-proclaimed "Kite Capital of the World" and hosts the annual International Kite Festival each April. Unlike major tourist hubs, foreigners are a rare sight here, offering an authentic glimpse into everyday Chinese life on impossibly wide 10-lane boulevards that stretch to the horizon largely empty of traffic.
