Overview
Weerribben-Wieden is a quieter, smaller national park in the Eastern Netherlands offering excellent canoeing and boat trips through a unique landscape of water, peat and bog. It's less crowded than other Dutch parks and gives access to the largest bog in northwestern Europe.

The park itself has no entry fees. Nearby accommodation ranges from budget camping (€4.50/night) to hotels (€76-90/night).
Transport
No cars allowed in most interesting parts. Get around by foot, bike, boat or canoe. Canoe rental is inexpensive and available from several places.
Weather
Flat terrain is easy to hike year-round. Summer season (June-August) best for mill operation and longer daylight.
