Overview
Vize is a small market town in Eastern Thrace, standing on the ancient Roman route between Byzantium and Europe. Its modest sights—the 550 AD Gazi Süleyman Paşa Mosque, a Roman citadel from 72–76 BC, and a 2nd-century amphitheatre only discovered in 1998—appeal to history-minded travelers.
