Overview

Visby is one of the most remarkable towns in the Nordic countries with 24,000 inhabitants, located on Sweden's largest island Gotland in the Baltic Sea. The old city was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 for its medieval city wall encircling an oblong shape along the shore.

Visby Airport 4 km north with year-round flights to Stockholm. Ferry port in southwestern central Visby. Taxis available.
